Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 8 slices Rye Bread
- 4 slices Swiss Cheese
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 2 tablespoon Butter
Special Sauce
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Dill Pickle Relish
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
1. In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the special sauce. Set aside.
2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. Form ground beef into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper. Cook in the same skillet over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through.
4. Assemble the patty melts: Spread special sauce on each slice of bread. Place a patty on 4 slices of bread, top with caramelized onions and a slice of Swiss cheese. Top with remaining bread slices.
5. Cook assembled sandwiches in the skillet until bread is toasted and cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
