Au Gratin Potatoes

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, then half of the cheese. Pour half of the sauce over the top. Repeat layers.
Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
