Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the saucepan.
  3. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
