Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Chuck Roast trimmed of excess fat
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 6 large Carrots peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 large Potatoes peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. 1. Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. In a large skillet, sear the roast on all sides until browned.
  3. 3. Place the roast in the slow cooker. Add beef broth, onion, garlic, carrots, potatoes, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. 4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  5. 5. Remove the roast and vegetables from the slow cooker. Let the roast rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. 6. Serve the roast with the vegetables and some of the cooking liquid.
