  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Pat the dough into a circle about 1-inch thick. Cut into 8 wedges.
  7. Place the wedges on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
