Puerto Rican Tostones Recipe
Crispy, twice-fried plantains, perfect as a snack or side dish.

Main Ingredients
- 2 Green plantains peeled and sliced
- 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying
- to taste Salt
1. Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
2. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
3. Fry the plantain slices for about 3 minutes on each side, until they are golden.
4. Remove the plantains from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
5. Using the bottom of a glass or a tostonera, flatten each plantain slice.
6. Return the flattened plantains to the hot oil and fry again for 2 minutes on each side, until crispy.
7. Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt to taste.
