Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 slices Bacon diced
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 2 cups Potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 2 cans Clams with juice
  • 2 cups Half-and-half
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Flour
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.
  2. Add onions and celery to the pot and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
  4. Gradually add the clam juice, stirring constantly. Add potatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Add clams, half-and-half, and milk. Heat through but do not boil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with the cooked bacon.
