- 8 oz Elbow macaroni
- 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Milk
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
Add shredded cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
Combine cooked macaroni and cheese sauce. Pour into an oven-safe dish.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
