Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

For the Sauce
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 can Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
For the Meatballs
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
- 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Egg beaten
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
Add crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine. Simmer for 30 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Form the mixture into meatballs. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides.
Add the browned meatballs to the sauce and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Serve the sauce and meatballs over cooked spaghetti.
