Island Style Sardines and Rice
A simple and flavorful dish combining sardines with rice, inspired by island cuisine.

Main Ingredients
- 2 cups Rice uncooked
- 2 cans Sardines in oil
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black Pepper
1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
3. Add sardines (with oil) to the pan. Break them into pieces using a spatula.
4. Add soy sauce, salt, and black pepper to taste. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Serve the sardine mixture over the cooked rice.
