Main Ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until they are light and fluffy.
2. Gradually add the sugar, whisking continuously until fully combined.
3. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling.
4. Slowly add the hot milk to the egg mixture, whisking constantly to prevent the eggs from cooking.
5. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
7. Chill the eggnog in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
