Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Crabmeat fresh or canned
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 small Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. 3. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Add the crabmeat, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
  5. 5. Season with Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. 6. Use a blender to puree the soup until smooth.
  7. 7. Serve hot, garnished with a sprinkle of Old Bay if desired.
