Main Ingredients
- 2 cups Chickpeas cooked or canned
- 1 large Onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 inch Ginger minced
- 2 cups Tomatoes chopped
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- 2 tablespoon Cilantro chopped, for garnish
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for another minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
Add cooked chickpeas and mix well. Add water if needed to adjust the consistency.
Cover and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Stir in garam masala and cook for another 2 minutes.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
