  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Place the corned beef brisket in a Dutch oven.
  3. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, water, brown sugar, mustard, and black pepper.
  4. Bring to a simmer on the stovetop over medium heat.
  5. Cover and transfer to the preheated oven.
  6. Bake for 4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
