Bolognese Sauce Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large carrot, finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 cup red wine
- 800 g canned tomatoes
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- to taste salt and pepper
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until softened.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
Pour in the red wine and let it simmer until reduced by half.
Add the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, and basil. Stir well.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve over your favorite pasta.
