- 4 lbs Beef Brisket trimmed
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- 1 cup Red Wine
- 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Heat olive oil in a large roasting pan over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned.
Remove the brisket and set aside. In the same pan, add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, and red wine. Bring to a simmer.
Return the brisket to the pan, cover with aluminum foil, and transfer to the oven.
Bake for 4 hours, or until the brisket is tender. Let it rest before slicing.
