Ingredients

  • 2 cups Navy beans soaked overnight
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Molasses
  • ¼ cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. In a large pot, combine soaked beans with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Drain the beans and transfer them to a baking dish.
  4. 4. Add chopped onion, brown sugar, molasses, ketchup, mustard, salt, and black pepper to the beans. Mix well.
  5. 5. Pour in enough water to cover the beans. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  6. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the beans are tender and the sauce is thickened.
  7. 7. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
